Gay Republicans: A Defense

Really Mr. Garrett? Then why have most (if not all) of the Republican candidates signed the anti same-sex marriage pledge? Is that because they cannot get the GOTea nomination unless they do?



Yes, I know that a number of Republican­s have shown the courage of their conviction­s and supported marriage equality and s-s marriage wouldn't have passed without their support. But why won't the party members speak out about the religious homophobia of a Perry, Bachmann and Santorum and the politicall­y-based homophobia of a Romney or that wonderful straight-m­arriage paragon, Newt Gingrich?
