Frank Rich: Obama Can't Turn The Page On Bush

Obama's trying to avoid investigating the Bushies, I've thought from the first, was a futile exercise.

Assuming, at best, that the administration's trying to focus on those things that they consider the most important like health care (yes, it's a mess!) and avoiding things they think they can't deal with, is really not going to work.

I think Frank did a good job of summarizing the (alleged) crimes of Bush, Cheney, Rummy and their cohorts and since we have to assume that these are the tip of the iceberg, the enormity of their actions cannot be allowed to go unpunished.

As I wrote on my website blog:

"...he (Obama) has refused to release the torture photographs or to prosecute the criminals of the Bush Administration. This is tantamount to locking the barn door after the horses have escaped."

Many of these photos have already been released and most of them will be, whether Barack likes it or not.

The Bush, of course, has been trying to keep a low profile but the Dick is clearly on the defensive and probably panicking.

I hope he has good reason for panicking but it's clear that the people who have helped to destroy our nation cannot be let off the hook.
