Progressives: In Swing States, Vote for Obama

Look guys, do whatever you can do to change the two-party system however you can do it. Do you think your disapproval votes will do anything to affect the powers that be? Do you think anyone in power cares about your puny gestures? That isn't the way it works.

May I remind you that in the 2000 election, many people voted for Ralph Nader as a protest vote against Al Gore. The result?

We got that wonderful George W. Bush as president for 8 years.

If you want to bring about change, support Occupy and similar movements and that may work. This won't!

It's this attitude that could put the equally "wonderful" Mitt in the White House.

Progressives: In Swing States, Vote for Obama

I don't understand Mr. Ellsberg's attitude at all. After telling us that Obama is the lesser of two evils he says that because he lives in a non-swing state, he is not voting for Obama.

Is he voting for Mitt or for one of those other unelectable candidates? Why throw away your vote to prove a point to yourself?

In my eyes you look like a fool for this attitude!

Obama has done some undeniably good things (his anti-terrorist actions including his successful reprisal against OBL and others of his underlings, his "evolving" on LGBT rights, much of his support for the military.) and some bad things (his unnecessary kowtowing to the the GOP, the draconian war against weed, medical and otherwise etc.

Make no mistake, in a two-party system, a vote against Obama is a vote for Mitt who is the last thing we need in the White House (which Mr. Ellsberg admits!). Grow up people!

You work for the "lesser of two evils" and then try to hold his feet to the fire.
